Tantalising Travels

Ah Friday … The fancy daydreaming day …

Emily Westbrooks got us thinking about travel. And you know the way daydreams can go.

Three famous destinations … Three dream journeys …

As with every city, London has many a face. It’s difficult to choose which face we’ll wear on our trip. We decided to go for secret treats. You know when the paparazzi gets too much and you need a trip of little hideaways?

With that in mind we’ll be staying at 40 Winks Hotel – with only two rooms, it’s unlikely you’ll bump into many fans.

We don’t want to draw too much attention to ourselves with the outfit but we don’t want to skimp on style (come on!) so understated is the way forward …

You can find us starting our night off at the (literally) underground Covent Garden Cocktail Club

and in London, the night is always young …

Well if we must go to NYC, then we have to stay at The Jane Hotel. Obviously.

“Completed in 1908, the American Seaman’s Friend Society Sailors’ Home and Institute was designed by William A. Boring, the architect renowned for Ellis Island’s immigrant station. Originally built as a hotel for sailors with cabin-like rooms, the landmarked hotel was lovingly restored on its centennial in 2008.

During the ‘80s and ‘90s, the hotel was part of downtown New York’s bohemian culture, hosting Hedwig and the Angry Inch and the Million Dollar Club, amongst many other rock-n-roll events. The hotel has continued to house guests with more dash than cash ever since.”

and we’ll stay in the captain’s cabin, thank you …

We only ever travel in style, and so we’ll be sourcing some vintage samsonite luggage … (and that nice man to carry it for us)

We’re going to be doing a lot of strolling around looking glamorous so one of the outfits in our lugguage will be this little number:

We appreciate the walking and shopping all day can be tiring. So, we’ve hired a secret rooftop bar and you’re invited. Oh, and it’s a free bar.

Yes, that’s right, we know how to treat our handsome and pretty friends.

And finally sweet Paris, well it’s every romantics dream isn’t it and we are no different. Every time we watch Amelie or eat in a french restaurant we can’t help but imagine ourselves drinking wine at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

First things first so we would never lose our way we would pick up this little gem

Our bags of course would be stylish and pretty, a vanity case is an absolute Paris must obviously

Of course we would be dressed head to toe in Chanel, one of these little numbers perhaps

But where would be lay our sleepy little heads when the day is coming to a close. This place might maybe do for a travelling handsome and pretty. We found this little place that ticked all the boxes, it’s in Montmarte and it’s completely unique and oh so beautiful, we think Room Josephine is the one for us.

And for our ears, we can’t very well neglect them on such an adventure. A few travel inspired tunes

Well have we convinced you? Are you already packing your bags? Let’s go travelling, let’s have an adventure. Oh the places we’ll go.

Handsome and Pretty
