Nights of Noir at the old vic tunnels

Are you in London this weekend? We think this event looks like a lot of fun …

“Join MGM HD, The Old Vic Tunnels and Time Out Live for three nights of noir and neo-noir classics, set in the dark and sultry underworld of Prohibition-period America. As well as full film screenings and expert Q&As lead by Time Out Film editor Dave Calhoun, moviegoers are invited to wander through a bespoke theatrical performance and installation piece, with femme fatales and corrupt cops at every turn. Dressing up is highly encouraged.

Friday – the Robert Aldrich classic ‘Kiss Me Deadly’ at 7pm, followed by a 10pm screening of David Lynch’s ‘Blue Velvet’.

Saturday – includes a 7pm screening of ‘Night of the Hunter’ starring Robert Mitchum, followed by the Coen brother’s cult-classic ‘Fargo’ at 10pm.

Sunday – at 3pm, see Stanley Kubrick’s 1956 classic ‘The Killing’, followed by the must-see ‘The Long Goodbye’ starring Elliott Gould at 6pm.”
