Cork Stamp

Here is a lovely and useful way to recycle old corks, we like to feel as though last nights bottle of wine can contribute to today’s crafting. We found this beauty over at Morning Creativity.

DIY Cork Stamp

It is quite easy, you need: A cork, a pencil/a pen, a sharp utility knife and of course an ink pad. 1. Draw a shape on top of the cork. A heart is an easy shape that’ll look good. 2. Use the utility knife and cut out the heart. I first tried with a scalpel, but that was quite difficult because the blade was quite small. The knife below worked fine. 3. Try out your new stamp! Now, you can easily see if it is necessary to make further adjustments to the shape. Keep cutting and stamping until you are satisfied with the result.

If you are lucky you might get small cracks in the heart like on the photo below. Good luck!

I think that’s reason enough to buy yourself a bottle of wine this weekend

happy crafting

handsome and pretty
