Friday Frivolities

Hello Friday – oh so good to see you!

How about some niceities to wrap up the week …

Both halves of Handsome and Pretty have tattoos of the permanent type (it’s for life eeek!!!) Perhaps you like the idea but maybe not the commitment? Well then, Tattly is just for you!

“Tired of putting poorly designed temporary tattoos on her daughter’s arm, Tina Roth Eisenberg took matters into her own hands. After soliciting a dozen world renowned artists and designers, hiring the first two team members, and learning what a temporary tattoo was actually made of, Tattly began moving at full force. In July of 2011, Tattly launched online, featuring an all-star lineup of professional designers and illustrators. Starting with just a handful of designs, Tattly received thousands of orders from around the world.

At Tattly, we believe that great design and art can make people happy. We believe that quality products and great customer support are the only options. And we believe that, whether for a child or an adult, every Tattly should come with a smile.”

A few of our favourites …

Arrows, designed by Wesley Stuckey

Makers Gonna Make, by Jude Landry

Red Bike, by Katie Evans

There are so many more that we love so think we’ll do a Favourite Five soon!

This week we discovered the delightful Swedish design brand Bengt & Lotta (via  The Kid Who), in particular their gorgeous animal cards –

(and they are only £2 each!)

The work of Ingela P Arrhenius fills us instantly with joy.

“Ingela is a freelance illustrator, based in Stockholm, in Sweden. She has always loved to draw and loved anything with drawings on them –stickers, comics, even mailshots with illustrations. Ingela was heavily influenced by her artistic parents – her mother makes silver jewellery as a hobby and her father collected art and movie posters – and she remembers a big cupboard in the kitchen which was always full of paper, colours, clay and crayons. As a child Ingela’s favourite books were by the American children’s author and illustrator Richard Scarry.”

How unbelievably cute are these animals in Paris?!

We want please!

Utskrift paris

(another potential favourite five feature!)

well there you go! a whole bag of niceities for you to rifle through!

enjoy your weekend
